By 31st July 2016, all organisations providing NHS or adult social care must follow the new Accessible Information Standard in full.
The Accessible Information Standard aims to ensure that patients who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss have access to information that they can understand and any communication support they require, including easy read and symbols.
Widgit has pioneered symbol communication for more than 30 years and can help your organisation meet the standard in a number of ways:
Use our InPrint 2 software to create your own symbol materials to print. InPrint 2 includes more than 14,000 Widgit symbols, along with examples and templates to help you create a variety of communication resources or customise information for specific departments or patients.
